Collect · sell · improve · finish

Find the needle faster:
keep the whole run moving.

Work one reachable area, sell when the bag stops collection, and buy for the wait you actually encounter. Use ready tools while others recover. Inspect exposed edges and hand the needle to the farmer as soon as it is found.

Already playing? Jump to your current bottleneck or the found-needle handoff. Starting fresh? Follow the route below.

Prepared September 13, 2026 from the dated guides and recorded gameplay linked throughout. This is a practical route assembled from those sources, with no promised clear time or claim of our own playtesting.

First bag, first sale, then back to the same area

  1. Enter Farmhouse on Normal with an owned class. In the lobby, enter FARMHOUSE, choose NORMAL, set Party Size to 1 for solo and press CREATE. Wait for the teleport. If you already have a run underway, continue from its current bag and equipment state.
  2. Choose a reachable side with a clear return to the cow.Aim at hay and work inward from that area. Collect visible rainbow flakes and exposed diamonds along the way. Keep the bag counter in view; when it reaches its limit, stop trying to collect.
  3. Sell at the cow in the barn window.Approach with your carried hay and use Sell. Read the Sold message, reduced bag count and changed Cash balance before leaving. If nothing happens, check that you still have hay, move into interaction range and use the visible prompt again.
  4. Make one useful buying decision, then return.Open the book for a hand/tool improvement or visit the shed bag for capacity. If saving toward a tool that fixes the current bottleneck, keep that Cash instead of making an unrelated small purchase. Return to your previous work area and continue inward.

A dated first-purchase example

The September 2 Normal walkthrough shows 25 ordinary hay × $0.01 = $0.25 and a first Speed level at about $0.23. Starting with zero Cash, that leaves about $0.02. Buy only if the displayed offer fits your balance, look for the new level, then resume collecting.

Hand Speed improves the hand collection cycle. Your class, bag level and hay mix can change this opening; the numbers illustrate one run rather than every account's prices.

Suggested action sequence: collect in a reachable area; sell to the barn-window cow when full; make a needed purchase in the book or shed; return to the same work area. A found needle goes directly to the farmer.
Original action diagram: arrows show the order of tasks, not map positions, travel distances or needle spawns. Combine a needed purchase with the sale trip; return directly when no purchase is needed.

Use your device's collection control. On PC: WASD moves, left mouse collects aimed hay, Space jumps and Tab opens the upgrade book. On touch: use the visible movement, collection, Sell and book controls; a keyboard shortcut is unnecessary. Hold is an in-game upgrade for held collection input.

Four problems, four action sequences

Check the bag before blaming the tool. A full bag stops useful collection even with a ready tool; a hot Vacuum can stop with plenty of space left.

Full bag or constant trips to sell

Stop collecting → cow → Sell → shed bag → return. Confirm the sale, interact with the bag in the shed and compare an affordable capacity upgrade. Check that the displayed limit rises before collecting again. After a collection upgrade, if a few actions now fill the bag, compare capacity before buying still more collection power.

Bax's narrated run reaches 50 hay, then later 150 and 250. These are examples of capacity changing during play, not a universal upgrade ladder or a fixed number of actions per bag. See the bag observations and hand-upgrade details.

Hands are ready, but each action is slow or small

Collect a sellable bag → sell → book → Speed or Grasp → same work area. Choose Speed for time between hand collections, Grasp for more hay per action. Check the new level or displayed grab amount and watch the counter while collecting. If the bag then fills too often, switch to the capacity sequence above.

When hand collection is still the limiting step and you have the reported $8, compare buying the Pitchfork at the barn shop with another small hand upgrade. Saving for that tool can be the useful decision for this sale cycle.

Repeated clicking is tiring

Sell for the needed Cash → book → Hand Hold → aim and hold the collection input. Confirm that collection continues while holding rather than repeatedly clicking or tapping. Keep watching the bag: Hold changes the input effort, so you still need to sell when full. If continuous collection is now easy but slow, address Speed or Grasp next.

Vacuum overheats while the bag has room

Release the Vacuum → inspect heat and bag → use another owned ready tool, or make a needed sale when Sell is offered → resume when ready. If the bag is full too, sell first. If no sale is available and your other tools are recovering, inspect the newly exposed hay edges while the indicators recover. Repeated collection attempts do not remove heat.

At the next purchase, compare Cooling and Runtime in the Vacuum's book panel. Watch heat recovery and the usable collection period after upgrading. If heat remains the frequent stop, keep improving that constraint before simply adding Power. Extra bag capacity solves a carry limit, not a heat pause.

Build a working rotation from tools you own

  1. Use the Pitchfork while its swing is ready. For a small sweep, compare Sweep; for a long wait between actions, compare Cooldown. The fork avoids the Vacuum's heat problem, but still has its own cooldown.
  2. Add Dynamite when a dense reachable area needs clearing. The September 11 guide lists it at $25. Aim a ready throw into the section you are working, then use another ready tool during its recovery. Compare Dynamite Speed when the gap between throws is the limiting wait.
  3. Fit the Vacuum into that same area.Vacuum reachable hay, release when heat stops it, then use the ready fork or Dynamite. Avoid changing tools just for the sake of changing: switch when another tool can do useful work, and sell when capacity requires it.
  4. Recheck after one collect → sell cycle. Was most of the interruption bag travel, cooldown, heat or input effort? Fix that next. A larger bag should reduce forced sales for the same collected amount; Cooling/Runtime should address heat interruptions. If the same pause remains, return to that branch instead of buying every stat in order.

The September 11 AllThings. How route suggests bag capacity, Pitchfork, Dynamite, Drone, then an improved Vacuum. Use it as a starting progression and adapt to owned equipment. A fresh Vacuum's frequent heat stops explain why buying it alone does not finish the route.

A reported 40-Gem Hay Drone collects and delivers hay while you keep digging. That spends the same budget as one class roll. Use an owned helper if available; before purchasing, compare it with your owned class options and permanent lobby stats. Watch the helper actually collect and deliver after buying.

Cash belongs to this round; banked Gems carry forward. Ordinary Cash tools and levels reset unless a matching permanent pass preserves them. Spend run Cash on a useful remaining task; once the needle is found, further upgrades are unnecessary for that handoff. Use the full tool table for costs and effects, or compare competing Gem purchases.

Work inward, then inspect what you exposed

Keep returning to a recognizable reachable area instead of walking around the pile after every sale. Aim successive fork sweeps, throws and Vacuum passes into useful hay there. As the surface changes, adjust your position so the tool can still reach it and inspect exposed ground and edges.

AllThings. How's September 11 guide recommends concentrating downward through the center. That is one excavation strategy. In CoralBlox 2's gameplay at 10:30–11:01, the narration describes an edge find with a substantial pile remaining. The center is not a guaranteed needle coordinate, and clearing every flake is not required before a find can count.

If you are aiming at an exposed patch with no collectable hay, check nearby edges and move to the next reachable section. If hay remains but the counter will not rise, use the bag/heat checks before abandoning the area. Keep a productive run going; an advertised short finish time is not a reason to reset it.

Take visible rainbow hay on your route. Sportskeeda's September 3 report says glowing pieces count as multiple flakes and sell for double value. Collect them as you work, then check the sale payout. Pick up exposed diamonds too and watch the separate Gem counter. Avoid a long detour that interrupts an otherwise useful section just to hunt another rainbow piece.

Solo: own the whole loop. Friends: split reachable areas.

For solo, use Party Size 1. Start with a class you already own and keep your complete collection and sale loop moving. A paid private server is unnecessary for this setup.

  1. With friends, enter the same configured party.Coordinate from the lobby, select the intended party size before CREATE and wait for the run to start. The official record's 20-player server capacity does not establish the party limit for every chapter.
  2. Agree on different reachable sectors. For example, one player starts on one visible side and another on the opposite reachable side. These are assignments, not compass coordinates. Say which area you are leaving when moving to adjacent hay so players can avoid repeatedly scanning the same surface.
  3. Each player handles their own bag and tools.Sell your own carried hay and recover or rotate your own tools. Keep collecting in your sector when another player makes a sale; a designated seller is not established as able to empty everyone else's bag.
  4. Call out exposed ground and a confirmed find.Use available text chat or coordinate in person; do not rely on voice chat being supported. When the found message appears, the player holding the needle equips it and follows the farmer's prompt.

Take the same division of work into Basement

Split the green, red and purple lever searches using their landmarks. Once accessible, divide crystal counting, picture rotation and paper-code searching, and keep the key search moving. Share the observed clue or result; do not assume inventories transfer. Check the objective tracker and follow the final key, ladder and trapdoor sequence.

Pro Game Guides, September 9, recommends friends on Hard Basement for Alien Coin farming. Try that when your party can already complete the puzzles; it is a reward-farming recommendation, not a guaranteed fastest clear. See the Coin rewards and lobby Chest spending steps.

Party procedure and September 2 voice-support context: AllThings. How Farmhouse guide. The official experience record captured September 13 lists maxPlayers 20 and private-server creation disabled. For later availability, check the Servers tab on the official experience page. Sector and puzzle assignments above are practical coordination suggestions.

Found the needle? Equip it and go to the farmer.

  1. Read the found-needle message. The reported message tells you to equip the needle and take it to the farmer. Stop the excavation loop even if hay remains.
  2. Equip the needle and approach THE FARMER outside the barn.Follow the interaction prompt. More selling, shopping or full clearing is unnecessary for this objective.
  3. Follow the handoff and story transition.Read the farmer's response and the next objective. The story leads toward the cellar and Basement; use the complete Basement walkthrough for the key, levers, puzzles and exit.

If a silver object looks promising but no find is confirmed, inspect the object and the objective prompt before treating the run as complete. If the farmer does not advance, check that the found needle is actually equipped and you are in interaction range.
